With a Master of Education - Guidance and Counseling - Carolyn Gowen (shown in pictures below) is a 1999 recipient of the Mississippi Counseling Association Public Service Counselor of the Year Award for her work in abstinence programs across the state of Mississippi. Her passion for helping teens began with her work as a school counselor where she saw the consequences of teens making bad choices because no one told them the consequences of having sex outside of marriage.
