| RISE TO YOUR
DREAMS WORKBOOK The RISE To Your Dreams Workbook is a companion to the RISE To Your Dreams Curriculum, but is also a stand alone program. It is currently being offered as a half Carnegie unit elective (1 semester course) in the Booneville School District. In the workbook students are taught about a healthy self-concept, self-discipline, how to develop social skills, self-motivation, and how to make responsible decisions. They will learn the role emotional needs play in the development of the “whole” person and their self-image. They will learn how to set goals relative to college, their vocation, marriage, and families. They will develop resistance and problem-solving skills to effectively deal with high-risk behaviors such as drug and alcohol use, pre-marital sex, and peer and/or media pressure. This knowledge will empower them to become more self-confident, to increase communication skills, and to build better relationships.
